{Transformed | Personal}

"To do for yourself the best that you have it in you to do -- to grit your teeth and clench your fists in order to survive the world at its harshest and worst -- is, by that very act, to be unable to let something be done for you and in you that is more wonderful still. The trouble with steeling yourself against the harshness of reality is that the same steel that secures your life against being destroyed secures your life also against being opened up and transformed." - The Sacred Journey, Frederick Buechner

{Read this a few times... it's so powerful. I have such a hard time letting anyone, even God, do anything for me. But that's missing out on so much that could transform your life and make it even better. Let God do His work. }

Icicles

I've been fairly busy, and haven't been doing much shooting lately. Although I'm hoping to change that coming *really* soon, I'm going to share a couple of shots of the beautiful icicles outside my bedroom window.

God Bless ya'lls Monday! And the rest of the week!

Dual against BH/V

I went to the first home wrestling meet this week... [and please don't shoot me for this basketball fans] it was really good to shoot something other than basketball for a change. ;)

Anyway, like I've been doing in early sports posts.. I'm posting the images that I think are more emotional.. but that I wouldn't necessarily send to the paper [It's more fun that way]

 {Pogreba - 103lb]

 [Josh Becker - 119]

 [Brady Killian - 125]

yeahhhhh [Killian ]

[Jordan Heldman - 130]

 [Austin Redemske - 140]

 [ Redemske ]

 [And another one of Redemske, 'cause I like it...]

 The bench [My brothers says that it takes as much energy to be a coach as it does to be a wrestler. lol]

 [Gavin Kadlec - 152]

 [ Kadlec - I like this picture... except for the crowd. haha]

[Chandler Trout - 189]

Something about the Ocean

"Something about the ocean makes me rise up and praise // something about the heavens makes me stand in awe again // something about the sunrise reminds me of Your faithfulness // something about the ocean and I'm lost in love again."

Basketball against Pequot Lakes

Gonna share some of my favorite images from this past basketball game.. they aren't the ones that I would send to the paper, but for me they are the most emotional ones.. the ones that make you feel like you're in the game.

 [love the emotion in this one and the next image]

 [I like the simplicity of this shot... it almost feels like it could be you...]

 [Longbella gets rid of the ball just as a PL player collides]

[I know this is off the other team.. but I just really love this shot. It *almost* deserves the word... Epic ;) ]

 [Vasquez takes the pass from Beachy and goes down to score {next image}]

I have a couple of favorites.... [you ready???]

This one:

I think I love it so much because of how classy the dress is, oh and because of the light... and because [ok, maybe it's just enough to say I love it :) ]

I also reallly like this one:

I don't think I'll try to explain it. I'll just let you enjoy it.

If you wanna see the rest head over to the Best of the Best 2010! [Little warning, though, you might want to skip over number 33 of a bride getting ready]

Why I love Winter: Books

I love long stretches of *very* cold weather, when you have nothing else to do but chill with a whole pile of books from the library. Yes... lovely times. Very lovely. :-)

 {Yes, the National Geographic is mine... no. Curious George is not.}

 {In case you were wondering.... the Trial is a *very* good book. Read it.}

{My family likes books... this is probably less than a quarter of what we checked out that day}
