Mom and Dad
Yesterday at the lake I did a quick, 5 minute photo shoot of my cute parents. They've been married for 22 years, and their relationship is an inspiration to me!

Lake Superior
Today we had a dentist appointment in Duluth, so we stopped by Lake Superior to make the day better :) Even though it was kind of cold by the lake I had fun with my camera.... It would be helpful if it started being a "Minnesotan Camera", though.... he doesn't seem to like the cold like I do :/ Anyway.......
Isn't my mommy cute!??!?!
And just because....... there's not a lot of pictures of me here :-)

Because Two are Better
"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor."
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
"Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him."
"And a threefold cord is not quickly broken." [Ecclesiastes 4:9-10,12]
"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."
[Proverbs 11:14]

My Bro, Tom
This my brother Tom,
The boys built a spearfishing/ice fishing house this winter, and Thomas decided he wanted to make his own decoy. It took him a little while and a lot of trial and error, since Tom is the first in the family to try and make one, but he did an amazing job!
This is the finished product!
He's nine years old, and quite ambitious. One of our favorite family stories was the time Thomas was fixing the toaster he found in the recycle and almost burned down the house...... :-) well, not quite, but in the words of Natalie, his little sister, "And it 'tarted 'parking! and then Thomas said, 'unplug it! unplug it!"
This is the finished product!

Without Him there is no Wisdom
"Or who has begotten the drops of dew? From whose womb comes the ice? And the frost of heaven, who gives it birth? The waters harden like stone, and the surface of the deep is frozen."
"Who has put wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding to the heart?"
[Job 38:28-30, 36]

My Valentine???????
So. Who's *your* Valentine?????
Your hubby?? Your boyfriend/girlfriend??? Jesus??? =)
Ok. So how about "Crabby Grandma and her Grandbabies"? uhhhhhh.
nope.
uh uh. not at all.
Today at church Mr. Zahm was talking about the heavy burden Paul had for the Children of the Lord, but also for the furtherance of the gospel. How Paul goes through the list of physical trials that he has endured, but then says that his burden of the gospel is even heavier. That he would give up everything for the good of the gospel.
It pretty much hit me over the head then, that that's what love means: having a heavy burden for the world, and the creation of God, that they might hear the gospel that saves; the story of Love. So much so that we cant keep it to ourselves. And it doesn't mean just for out fellow believers, or our fellow believers, or our family, or our friends.
It means Grandma and her Grandbabies. ooofta.
It means passing that love on, because it's such a burden to keep it that we can't! I've been feeling God's overwhelming love toward me, but I'm asking Him to give me an overwhelming burden that I can't keep to my self. But that kind of brings me to another point.... where love isn't a feeling but a choice. =) [later!]
"The LOVE of God // how rich and pure // how measureless and strong.// It shall forevermore endure // the saints' and angels' song."
"Could we with ink the ocean fill // and were the skies of parchment made // were every stalk on earth a quill // and every man a scribe by trade; to write the LOVE of God above // would drain the ocean dry // nor could the scroll contain the whole // though stretched from sky to sky."
~The Love of God, Fredrick M. Lehman, 1917

Who Created the Heavens
"For thus says the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited;"
"I am the Lord, and there is no other." [Isaiah 45:18]
"I have not spoken in secret. In a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, 'Seek Me in vain'; I, the Lord, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right." [verse 19]
"Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other." [verse 22]
"I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, that every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath.
"He shall say, 'Surely in the Lord I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, and all shall be ashamed who are incensed against Him.
"In the Lord all the descendants of Israel shall be justified, and shall glory." [verses 23-25]

These two make my day. They were two of the best surprises I ever received, and they never cease to make me smile. Kate and Fuzz =]
