The beginning of June I got to go visit a friend {Katherine of www.katherinealison.com } in California for a week, and we packed everything possible into that week, including navigating both LA and San Fran traffic, 25+ hours in the car, road tripping up the coast, four days of camping, picture taking, a day at beach, hiking a mountain, the Palm Springs tram way, an afternoon in San Francisco, and topping it off with shooting a wedding the day before I flew out. It was crazy fun! Our travels together are always pretty great, and we end up exhausted but with a lot of good memories and full memory cards ;)

I can't believe the last time I blogged... ouch! Life has been a little busy... but of course now that it's crazy, I'll find time to blog ;) Makes sense, right?

My 2013 California Trip: Mountains, The Ocean, Big Sur, San Francisco...

{The North Shore - Lake Superior MN | Personal}

When Katherine came to visit early in June {to shoot Jose and Katie's wedding with me!}, we also squeezed in a camping trip to the North Shore. It's how we work.. pack it all in. We may have forgotten a lot of fairly essential stuff, but we didn't get eaten by bears, or rained out of our tent, or have trees fall on us, or get smashed by a rock fall, although we thought we were going to ;) All in all, we had a pretty fun trip, and saw everything from two step falls {which is MUCH farther than two steps} at Tettegouche, to Split Rock, and Palisade Head... from Betty's Pies, to ships arriving in Duluth and the Silver Bay Marina. Gooood times!

Oh, and did you know? Bears don't have thumbs.
